On MCNY: “It was so interesting because I could understand the New York’s history, how the grid was planned and what was the Dutch influence. It was my second day and I had a lot of difficulty to understand other people, but the idea was to put me out of my comfort zone. Great!”

“The program was very good; in fact, more than I expected in relation to customization. Another important point is that it isn’t ever boring, although I felt exhausting sometimes because I received a lot of information. The introduction activities were so important and more important than that were the preview activities for the expeditions. In summary, my experience was great!”

This IBE at NYTC definitely exceeded my expectations! I’m much more confident in my communication capacity and I fixed many problems in my English. The ‘case’ (study) classrooms were very important to me because I could get practice in the cases vocabulary, the cases’ “way of mind,” and besides, it really worked as “English homework.” I felt very proud in understanding almost 100% of 2 films and in talking with customer services by phone to solve problems. I really like the VLT’s. (Visits/Lectures/Tours) It’s a very good way to practice listening in an immersive cultural experience.
